About
The studio behind the sites.
Websly is a London web design studio for small businesses. One set of hands does the drawing, the code and every month after — which is the whole point.
Our mission
Small businesses deserve the site the big ones get.
A plumber in Colindale and a national chain are judged by the same customer, on the same phone, in the same three seconds. The only difference is that one of them has a department for it.
The Websly line — seven things, one direction.
Our purpose
Why the studio exists.
Fifteen years in software — at Deloitte, NatWest, WTW and Octopus Energy — were fifteen years of watching enormous companies buy the thing a corner shop cannot: someone whose job it is to keep the website working.
Not a designer who disappears at hand-over, not a developer who has moved on to the next contract, and not a support queue in another timezone. Just someone who knows the site, answers the phone, and is still there in a year.
Websly is that job, sold at a price a small business in London can actually pay, and built so that one person can genuinely hold it. Everything you read about on this site — the standards, the backups, the leads inbox — exists because it is the part that gets dropped when nobody owns it.

The part you never see
Standards, not adjectives.
These are the standards the studio works to — not readings from your site. Yours gets measured on launch day, and you get the numbers.
- Main content visible in under 2.5 seconds, tested at 390px on 4G
- First-view page weight under 1MB, and no layout shift while loading
- Backups every night, security patches every week
- Uptime checked every five minutes
- Support answered within one working day
- A machine-readable version of who you are, what you do and where you do it
Quick answers
Two fair questions.
Who actually builds my site?
One person, in London — the same one who drew it, and the same one who answers when you email a year later. Nothing is offshored and nothing is handed to a subcontractor.
What happens if you are ill, or busy?
Every site is hosted, backed up nightly and monitored automatically, so it keeps running with nobody watching. Support is answered within one working day, and anything urgent — a site down, a form not sending — is dealt with the same day.
Bring the whole job back to one place.
A free one-to-one first — nothing to sign and nothing to pay. Bring your business; leave with a plan and a price.
