Privacy Policy for Websly
Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. Who we are
Websly ("we", "us", "our") is a one-person web design business based in London, UK, and operates the website at websly.co.uk. Contact: hello@websly.co.uk.
2. What personal data we collect
- Contact form: when you submit the form on our contact page we collect your name, your email address, your business name, which service you are interested in, and your message.
- "Start" form: the form on our start page collects the same details plus a phone number, so we can call you back if you would rather talk.
- AI assistant: if you leave your name, email address or phone number in the chat window, we collect those details and your message as an enquiry.
- Booking: if you book a call through our bookings page, the calendar and the details you enter are handled by Cal.com, our booking provider.
3. How we use it
We use this data to reply to your enquiry and to do the work you asked us about. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
4. Cookies
This site does not set cookies. Websly's website is built on a standard technology stack that sets no analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies by default. If that ever changes (for example, if analytics or marketing tooling is added), this policy and a cookie consent banner will be updated accordingly before that change goes live.
How we count visits. We keep a simple daily count of how many times each page was viewed, and how many times a call, email or message link was tapped. It is a count and nothing else: no cookie, no visitor ID, no IP address and no device details are stored, so it cannot be traced back to you or used to recognise you on a later visit.
Online booking. Where a page on this site offers online booking, the calendar is provided by our booking service (Cal.com). When you open that page, the booking service loads its own code and may set cookies that are strictly necessary for the calendar to work (for example, to remember the slot you are choosing). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and no cookie is set for marketing. The booking service processes the details you enter to make your appointment; its own privacy notice applies to that processing.
5. Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to run this site, each bound by data-protection obligations:
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing (subscription/billing only).
- Cal.com — appointment booking (where the booking widget is used).
- Brevo — sending you email replies/confirmations.
- Anthropic and Voyage AI — see the AI Assistant section below.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries — from the contact form, the start form or the AI assistant — are deleted automatically 90 days after they arrive. We do not keep a copy of your chat with the AI assistant: unless you leave your details in it, nothing from that conversation is stored on this site.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or ask us to stop processing your personal data. To make a request, contact hello@websly.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. AI Assistant
This site includes an AI assistant, shown in a chat window labelled "AI assistant". What you type in that window is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which produces the reply; the assistant's knowledge of this site was built using Voyage AI. The assistant is built only from this site's public pages — it has no access to your account, your enquiries or anyone else's. It does not ask you for personal information. We do not store the conversation itself; we keep only a count of how many messages the assistant has handled. If you choose to leave your name, email address or phone number in the chat, that becomes an ordinary enquiry and is deleted after 90 days like any other.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
